How did you get your start in the make-up artistry business and why did you decide to pursue it as a full time career?
I started experimenting with makeup when I was 14 years old. I loved the transformation and confidence it gave me and knew I had to find a way to make this into a career. One of my first jobs in the makeup business was assisting for a bridal studio at the age of 18. I mostly cleaned brushes and helped with small tasks but quickly worked my way up to doing full makeup looks and loved the responses I received.

What’s the make-up aesthetic you’re most well known for?
It’s interesting because early in my career I was known for really theatrical looks, but as time has gone by, now I would say my signature is fresh glowing skin!

How would you describe your personal make-up style?
Sophisticated with an edge.

What do you like to splurge on?
I definitely don’t mind splurging on quality brushes! The tools of the trade.

What inspires you to create statement make-up looks for your celebrity clients?
My clients inspire me to create a statement. I get to work with some very unique talent and I’m inspired by their music and their message. Each one is completely different.

What has been the most surreal moment for you?
Seeing my work in Times Square I would say was pretty surreal!

Who was your first celebrity client and how did you land him/her?
My first celebrity client was THE Elvira: Mistress of the Dark. I was asked to do her for an eyewear campaign with LA Eyeworks. It was one of the most detailed jobs I’ve ever done and such an honor.

Fave make-up brand and why?
It’s so hard to pick just one makeup brand, but at the moment I’m in love with everything Pat McGrath is doing. The textures, the quality, the pay off...just brilliant.

What are the three tools in your make up kit you just can’t live without?
I can’t live without my beauty blender. I also have to say my lighting by The Makeup Light and my Kevyn Aucoin eyelash curler.

What is your current make-up obsession?
I go through phases. Right now I’m obsessed with brows. Creating a perfect shape without looking overly done is something that excites me.

What was your first job?
My first job as a freelance artist was working with a Southwestern jewelry company creating timeless wearable looks.

What is your must-have beauty product?
Charlotte Tilbury's flawless airbrush powder. It’s the perfect way to set makeup while maintaining a smooth finish.

Do you have a secret make-up how-to tip for us?
One of my secrets is using a few different shades of foundation to achieve natural dimension in the face.

Do you have any hobbies?
I love exploring in nature. It inspires me and helps clear my mind.

What's your favorite product in your make-up kit?
My Tom Ford shade and illuminate compact. The perfect shades for creating a defined, luminous look.

Who's your style icon?
I’ve been inspired by so many powerful women growing up like Cher, Diana Ross, and Madonna. But I would have to say I love the effortlessness of Victoria Beckham.

What is one thing our readers would be surprised to hear?
I am a really great cook!

If you could paint one person, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Naomi Campbell. She's one of my ultimate beauty icons.

Favorite quote?
