CELEBRITY STYLIST: JASMINE CACCAMO
Jasmine Caccamo is a bi-coastal celebrity stylist who began her career in fashion with Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan Magazine, assisting some of the most notable stylists and editors in the industry. Once she took to freelance, she further perfected her craft.
Working with clients such as Taylor Swift, Camilla Cabello, and Rachel Platten, her work has been featured in Seventeen, Nylon, Harper’s Bazaar, and a slew of others.
Amuze caught up with the in-demand stylist to discuss her signature style, how fitness is another one of her passions, and why Kesha is the reason for her career highlight.
Tell us about you got started in the celebrity styling business and why you decided to pursue it as a full time career…
I started my career at Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire. At each magazine, I became familiar and friendly with freelance stylists who opened my eyes to a whole other side of the fashion world. From there, I went on to work with some of the most prominent editorial and celebrity stylists in the industry and then further pursued my own career once I had all the tools and contacts necessary to go out on my own.
What’s your style aesthetic?
My style for my clients truly depends on the person themselves. From musicians to actors, I always want them to make a statement, while still being comfortable and true to who they are and their personalities.
How would you describe your personal style?
I err on the side of classic with an edgy twist.
What do you splurge on?
Shoes and bags are my go-to splurges!
What inspires you to create looks for your celebrity clientele?
I’m inspired by so many elements when creating looks for my clients. From the runway, music, and everything in between. I try to bring out the individual personality of my client when styling them.
What has been the most surreal moment for you in your styling career so far?
Being on Kesha’s world tour was amazing. From styling to traveling all over the world with her, it was by far one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had.
Who was your first celebrity client and how did you land him/her?
My first celeb client was Kesha. I had worked on others here and there, but it was one of my old bosses (one of the heavy hitters in the industry), who entrusted her client to me. So it really boosted my confidence and allowed me to showcase my creativity.
If you could only live in one designer’s clothing for the rest of eternity, who would it be and why?
It would have to be Saint Laurent. Everything about the brand suits my personal style to a tee. It’s so timeless.

Do you have a secret make-up tip?
I don’t wash my face in the morning. I use SK II’s clear lotion as a toner. My grandmother always told me the less you use on your face, the better. She’s 88 and looks about 68, so whatever she’s doing, I’m doing!

Prince. His personal style was sublime and I can only imagine the looks we would have created together.
One thing you’re going to buy to update your spring wardrobe?
I think for spring I may incorporate a good trench into my wardrobe. There were so many great ones on the runway that I think I’m finally convinced to invest in one!
